Gates of Olympus by Pragmatic Play
Gates of Olympus is one of Pragmatic Play’s best-known online slots, taking players to the summit of Mount Olympus for an action-packed encounter with Zeus. This colourful video slot combines an ancient Greek mythology setting with modern mechanics, including tumble wins, random multipliers and a free spins feature. Rather than relying on fixed paylines, winning combinations can land anywhere on the reels, making every spin feel packed with potential.
The game uses a 6x5 reel layout and pays when eight or more matching symbols appear anywhere on screen. Following a winning result, the paying symbols disappear and new ones drop into place. This cascading mechanic can create several wins from one paid spin, keeping the action moving without pause.

How to play Gates of Olympus
Before spinning the reels, choose a stake using the betting controls. The game’s minimum and maximum bet levels can differ between casino versions, so always check the interface before starting. Once your bet is set, press the spin button for a single round or use autoplay if the casino offers it in your region.
Gates of Olympus features low-value gemstone symbols and premium icons inspired by Greek legends, including crowns, rings, hourglasses and chalices. The largest wins generally come from landing large groups of the higher-value symbols.
Because wins are based on symbol counts rather than traditional paylines, it is worth watching the whole reel set. A combination does not need to land on a specific line; it simply needs enough matching symbols to appear in the same spin.
Tumble wins and multiplier symbols
The tumble feature is at the heart of Gates of Olympus. When a winning group appears, those symbols are removed and replaced by new ones falling from above. If another winning group lands, the process repeats. This can continue until no further win is formed.
Multiplier orbs can land during any base-game spin or bonus round. They can carry values from 2x up to 500x. In the main game, a multiplier is applied when it lands alongside a winning tumble. During free spins, collected multiplier values are added together and remain active for the rest of the bonus feature. That growing multiplier total is what makes the bonus round especially exciting.
Free spins feature and bonus purchase
Land four or more scatter symbols to trigger the free spins round. Players receive an initial set of free spins, while every multiplier orb collected is added to a persistent total. Extra scatter symbols can award additional spins, extending the feature and giving the multiplier more time to build.
At selected casinos, Gates of Olympus also includes a feature purchase button. This allows eligible players to pay a premium to enter the free spins round directly. Availability, price and local rules vary, so this option may not be displayed in every market.
